Tweets are appetizers, blogs the main course

It started when Grant Griffiths retweeted @lancegodard:
@SCartierLiebel Tweets create desire. Blogs satisfy it. Tweets appetizers. Blogs the main course. :-)
That lead to a discussion between @purplecar and me:
PurpleCar: I think microblogging and apps like facebook will actually decrease the number of proper blogs in time.
Me: You have a valid point. (blogs v. micro) I think use of blogs will change.
PC: blogs will be viewed like email. Ppl under 25 think email is SLOW. It's all IM, Text. Blogs are a lot of WORK.
Me: We're also talking about different time frames. What I do for my biz this year, vs what my nephew does in 5 yrs @ age 21.
PC: Yes it will be interesting to watch. According to technorati, most blogs are about personal stuff or tech right now.
What do you think?

  1. Y'all are probably right but I do enjoy blogging. Perhaps it's a generational thing...?

  2. Hmmm, could it be generational? I suppose so. Could it also be life-stage related?
