A funeral slide show like fireworks

>> Wednesday, January 13, 2010

My husband went to the funeral of a life-long friend. He watched the photo slide show of the life of this man, not quite 50.

Later he said to me that he wants to live a life so his funeral slide show is exciting; something people watch like fireworks. "Ooooo!" "Ahhhh!"

Just something to keep in mind.

Worth thinking about. Live a full life. Do plenty of worthwhile, memorable and exciting things. And make sure to make friends with a few decent photographers so the slides come out well.

Becky, We have attended several visitations that have included such slide shows. They are actually very comforting. I believe in celebrations of life, Bruce and I talk all the time about what kind of send off we want. He wants Frank Sinatra CDs played. Chris has a point, one needs good photos, covering ones whole life.

Years ago there were businesses that put these photos together as slide shows. Now everyone has computers and software to do there own.

Last note: I trust it will be years and years before you and your hubby needs to worry about this. May you have a long and happy life.

Well, Joe (& Becky), hopefully I won't be there. BUT from the photos I have seen, Joe has a good start on his fireworks. (And he has a good photographer in you to do the documentation. Excellent choice he made...hee, hee, hee.) Congratulations!
