Yoda's most overlooked piece of Jedi wisdom

This one gets quoted:
"No! Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try."
But I'm thinking of this one:
This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph.

I think we are all sorely lacking in mindfulness. We're always thinking of something else, or a dozen things at once.

Spend some time today focused on where you are and what you are doing.

  1. Great advice Becky. The more we are mindful of today, the more we enjoy today. Today is all we have.

  3. How wonderful, Becky. I agree - mindfulness is highly underrated. Multi-tasking is seductive and may make us feel productive but I believe the best comes forth when one focuses on this task (or conversation or thought) in this moment.
After all, the only way to get to the future is through this moment ;-)

Thank you for the 'now' nudge!

  4. Great piece of wisdom! Yoda is full of those tidbits that pass you by because they seem so obvious...then we forget to apply them.
